Smallville

That’s the first episode where Ollie seemed tense and dark. It was good, but I like Ollie being care free and cocky :stuck_out_tongue:

How are you feeling about Lex now by the way?

Well, he’s definitely getting close to being irredeemable now. Not as evil as bad Lex in Onyx yet, but he’s getting there. It’s unfortunate that so much of his screen time recently has been connected with the love triangle, but when he’s focused on being an evil bastard instead of conceiving one :stuck_out_tongue: , I see a lot of early Lionel in him.

Episode 608 - Static
So, Lana didn’t tell Lex yet?
Lex’s security actually worked for once?
WTF? Usually, I can get some idea of what’s going on in the teaser, but not this time.

“They’re from galaxies far far away.”
Varro is on Lex’s security team?

No skeletons? Eww.
Clark just stole a badge? Bit uncharacteristic, but he’s outside his usual area of operations.

Lana’s birthday? Maybe Lex really is serious.
Surprised Lana didn’t mention the baby.
Could 142 be a code for meteor freak incursion?

“What can that guy do that I can’t?” Jimmy is such a dork.

33.1? Nice. I was starting to think they dropped that plot

Sergeant Bates from SGA? Hope he isn’t as much of a d-bag here.
Ugh, showing the guy pulling the spine out was a bit extreme.

So, Lionel knows about 33.1 too?

Jimmy seems awfully unconcerned about his first meteor freak.
Jimmy figured it out?

Nice save, Clark.
Crap, the crystal didn’t work.

How did Lionel manage to delete that stuff from the other side of the room?
So, is Jimmy splitting the Sam Carter role with Chloe now, or is it one time only?

Nice, Jimmy.
Lex just killed the guy?

What the hell?
Another superhero just bailed Clark out? Bit of a copout.

Is Chloe pushing for the Justice League now?
What’s with the Oreo?

Lana is painting with a big brush by saying that all meteor freaks are dangerous.
Lex doesn’t do anything small, does he?

One of the weaker episodes of the season. Surprised Clark was relegated to the B plot, but considering how little there was to it, that’s probably a good thing.

Episode 609 - Subterranean
I know we joked about Clark being an illegal alien, but they’re doing an episode about it? Seriously?
Pretty destructive security system there.

And of course the kid ended up at the Kent farm.
Wouldn’t someone notice McNally treating his farm hands like that?
Does Javier’s mom really work in that other town or is she one of McNally’s people and he sent Javier messages in her name to lure him there?

I was wondering if Martha would be involved in this episode.
At least Martha wanted to call Immigration because of her oath rather than to avoid a scandal. Figured that would be the case, but Lionel might have rubbed off on her.
Taking Javier to Chloe’s? Isn’t Chloe still staying at the Talon with Lois?

Jimmy, don’t be an ass.
“Isn’t pizza from Italy?”

“What did I do? Did I swat a fly with too much force?”

Jimmy thinks Clark’s jealous of him getting Chloe?
Always love the way Clark responds to Chloe’s phone calls since she found out.

McNally can burrow?
Lex knew and didn’t “recruit” him for 33.1?

Why does no one ever notice Clark disappearing from the middle of the Daily Planet bullpen?
Did Clark carry the truck most of the way there? If not, why wasn’t it near the Planet building?

That’s got to be the lamest fight scene ever. :stuck_out_tongue:

You know, Lana’s slide to the dark side has been pretty interesting if you ignore all the Lexana romance.

“You must have one dedicated guardian angel.”
Yeah, and there he is
ROFL at the Clark/Jimmy conversation.

Lex looked badass walking out of 33.1 at the end there. Could have just been because of the music though.

I’m not a fan of “hey this is in the headlines now” episodes. This was pretty much forgettable other than the last few seconds in 33.1. Worst of the season so far.

Decided I could fit in one more episode, and I’m glad I did.

Episode 610 - Hydro
30 seconds in and I already hate this bimbo.
“I can see Gotham from my new office.” Same way Lana could see Metropolis from a Smallville windmill?
She can turn into water? Seriously?
Well, I suppose in some very broad way that could be considered self defense.

Lois hired Jimmy to get pics of Green Arrow?

Linda was in the water cooler? Why?
And why would the Daily Planet have a picture of Clark? Maybe from season 4, but they would have had him in his football uniform for that.
Bet that quote being in the paper will go over well with Lana.

Wait, Clark didn’t know about the pregnancy until Lex told him, did he?

Ollie’s a lucky bastard, you know that?
And I guess it’s a good thing Jimmy only got a picture of Green Arrow’s arm.
Aren’t you going to get dressed first, Lois?

Ollie has a “serious hero complex”?
And Clark was worried she was talking about him.

Chloe has a point there. Everyone confides in the reporter of all people?
And Lake heard? Crap…
“For the record, I prefer ‘intergalactic traveler’”

Love Lois outburst on loving Ollie.
“The guy could tell me he was from Mars right now and I’d find a way to dismiss it as an endearing quirk.” How about Krypton?

Lame acting from Lois there.
Wait, Clark and Lois set this up to draw out Green Arrow, but Clark and Ollie set this up to trick Lois. That’s why Lois “forgot” the ice.
Then thugs really showed up? Classic. Or did Clark and Ollie set that part up?
Jimmy hit one?
“That’s a hell of a thank you.”
Lois just kissed Clark and Clark liked it.

Nice Chloe/Linda showdown.
Nail gun?
Great effect with Linda turning into water when she hit Lana’s windshield. But she’s still alive, isn’t she?

I think Jimmy’s missed pic tipped Chloe off to Lois being right.
“I always thought he was super cool. I didn’t realize he was superhuman.”

Clark’s a better kisser than Ollie? Chloe’s never going to let Clark live that down.

And here goes the Chloe/Lana friendship.

“A million dollars for your thoughts.”

This was a great episode. The Linda Lake plotline was good, but it was completely overshadowed by the comedic awesomeness of the Lois/Ollie/Clark/Green Arrow plotline. Still not a fan of Lexana, but it had its place in this one.

Oreo is a big clue to who that superhero is.

yeah, they just have really clean air… it’s Kansas after all.

that was a fun episode. sometimes the fun and light episodes turned out to be the better episodes.

Answer: No.

Question: What did he say?

You know what? I didn’t make the actual connection until Season 9… Cool that they referenced it this early.

When she said she needed to see him, he instantly sped into the room without bothering to say anything into the phone. It happens almost every time she calls him.

Chloe better make sure she’s dressed before she calls him…

Ah, yep!

I think that was an issue once?

well, Clark could see if he wanted to anyway =_=

Maybe he will…

holds pinkie to mouth corner

He already has. Remember the birthmark line in Red.

Like my sig says, I’m also working through Season 5 special features and there’s something I don’t get.

They don’t have a commentary for Reckoning, but they do for frakking Thirst. Of course about a 3rd of the way through it, and they’re still talking about it being one of the worst episodes of the series.

LOL… well… yeah…

Just watched a deleted scene from Thirst, and Lex was fun in it. He gave Chloe the cure to the krypt-rabies and, when she didn’t react at first, he said …

Actually, you know what, I just found it on Youtube.

//youtu.be/-6a39_biwx8

There isn’t any talking for the first 50 seconds or so, but Lex’s lines in the last bit were worth a chuckle.

Probably going to watch Justice tonight. And given the title and the picture on the folds of the DVD case, I’m guessing it’s going to be a pretty awesome episode.

Yep, definitely going to run out of smilies on this one.

Episode 611 - Justice
I think Chloe’s last question hit a bit close to home.
That didn’t look like Clark’s superspeed effect.

“El Intestino Buster”
Chloelicious?
“I can still blink pretty fast.”

Flash is hitting the LuthorCorp facilities?
Easy assumption to make, Lionel, but wrong.
Surprised Clark didn’t blame a Zoner to throw Lionel off.

Nice camera trick with the cleanup.

“Green is definitely his color.” Looks like her color too.

Nice trap, Lex.
“Not so fast now, are you?”

So, Ollie just happened to meet the same 3 other superheroes Clark met? Would have made more sense for Clark to have put him in contact with them.

“And I want a ponytail.” You know, I can’t see that.
“I work for a guy called Mr. Kiss My Butt. Would you like me to introduce you?”
Damn, that’s a nasty jail Lex thought up.

Love the banter in Ollie’s apartment.
Just thought of something. Could one of the other guys have told Ollie about Clark? Would explain his random decision to relocate to Metropolis.

“I did have to figure out about your green leather fetish on my lonesome.”
Yeah, looks like Chloe’s going to fit in just fine.
And Chloe just told the other guys about kryptonite. Kind of saw it coming when Chloe mentioned lead being moved there too.

Shouldn’t the lead door have been a tipoff, Clark?
Chloe’s already Watchtower? Thought that was the name for their base in Season 9 and 10. Guess it’s named after her rather than the other way around.
Ollie upgraded Victor?

Boy Scout? Surprised they didn’t call him Farmboy.
Impulse, not Flash?
Intentional miss from Green Arrow, I take it?
The team walking away from the explosion is so badass.

Ollie is dumping Lois? Dumb man.

Terrorist? Suppose Lex has a point from a certain point of view.
Lionel is still covering for Clark?

You know, Clark, the Justice League could help with the Zoners. Ollie could at least provide financial and logistical support for getting you to other landmasses.
“Come on boys, let’s go save the world.”

Awesome episode. Guess they’ve been saving money for it since the premiere.

if you like that, there’s only more of stuff like this to come.
