maybe the trick to last 10 seasons is scifi + teenage angst. hook them while they are young, they say.
And being filmed in Vancouver might have something to do with it too. 
Before I started getting into Smallville, I felt a bit frustrated that it was going to overtake SG-1 (by less than 10 episodes, since they have the same number of seasons), but now I’m starting to see it, especially since I know it’s practically a different show in the later seasons.
I’m rewatching last season’s finale now.
Edit: Just noticed tonight’s subtitle. Hope they aren’t doing the Death of Superman bit…
Well, considering he was falling off one of the tallest buildings in Metropolis with no superpowers, his landing isn’t going to be all that pleasant.
Lazarus prolly means Tess. I have a feeling Martian Manhuter or Hawkman rescues Clark.

I’m chomping at the bits now. I still can’t get over that last fight scene. It’s what his fight vs DD should have been.
