…Hey, I can see my house from up here
Man, that first static on the audio nearly made me jump out of my skin! Looks interesting.
Oh, so that’s in the audio? I thought my headphones were going again.
Ok! That got my attention!
Looks like what the ID4 sequel(s) ought to be.
Yeah, I looked for another one thinking “this one’s frakked up” and it was the same.
It’s up on the Apple Trailer site now…no static! So maybe it wasn’t intentional in the trailer…
On August 28th, 2009, NASA sent a message into space farther than we ever thought possible…
As of yesterday, that distance would be one light year, or not even half the distance to the nearest star. Or am I missing something? I guess the movie is set near future since Dan Rather is alive and well.
Until a movie hits on a novel answer as to why aliens would bother to come here only to hover in Giger looking ships above large cities wasting stupefying amounts of energy evidently only to terrorize the non-space faring local mammals…
you’ll keep getting nonsensical eye candy movies like Skyline.
Not that that plot twist by itself would suck proof such a movie, see Knowing and The Day the Earth Stood Still remake.
Stephen Hawking debuted his “fear the aliens!” scenario for his Discovery Channel series Into the Universe around April. So that means name dropping Hawking in this movie is just so much post-production marketing.
I knew that helicopter was SoL. Seeing the alien legs was a surprise. Thanks for the link. Here’s HQ.

Looks like what ID4 should have been.
Now I have to see it in the theater in Nov…this one will not be a wait for DVD movie!
Heck, I sorta wanna see that trailer in the theater.
Looks like you may not have to wait that long.
Season of the Witch and Skyline Head to Netflix After Theatre Run
This movies keeps looking cooler to me
Yeah, I saw the original trailer on the big screen for the first time today (went to see Devil, which I actually enjoyed, surprisingly). The awesome definitely scales up. Can’t wait.
After watching the trailer I felt like, I’ve seen this before.
It’s like ID4, Cloverfield, Transformers, District 9, Day the Earth Stood Still (new one) all rolled into one movie. Someone in Hollywood is watching too many cooking shows. BAM! Take it up a notch. BAM! BAM!
It’s been said that 95% of stuff coming out of Hollywood these days are remakes or sequels. Finding something good in the remaining 5% is hard. And, I dunno how anything good in that 5% can be sci fi or fantasy.
I’m hoping it’ll be a good ride regardless.
You guys are so cynical. This movie has light. Light! See? Totally different unique and original.
First Haven and now this.
Eric Balfour is back baby!
Hehehe…just don’t look at it!
