Should there be a separate August Book Club Selection?

As promised, I put a poll to all of you. Please consider the following question.

Would you like a separate August Book Club? Or would you prefer to make PPZ the selection for a July/August Book Club, as originally planned?

Please feel free to discuss and debate any pro/cons.

This has been discussed in the past, but I’d appreciate a gauge on current opinion  Thanks!

I voted for combined as it is a very busy time or the year and I don’t want my reading to become ‘work’.

that said, i have not yet start PP&Z and i may just breeze through it for all I know. No a deal breaker for me either way.

Combined. I am usually pretty busy, and frequently reading other books as well, so this gives people like me the time to actually find the book and read it.

At least for the summer months, I would be up for reconsideration for Sept./Oct.

Heck, I’m still leafing my way through World War Z…

I’d really like seperate books, to cover more stuff, but if it’s easier for everyone to combine the months I guess that would be alright.

I like the idea of keeping it combined for summer & revisit the issue come the fall.

I voted to combine, echoing the previous posts that for what is often a busy time for folks, one book would be easier.

It’s easy for me to say, though, as PPZ was my book clubs’s June pick, so I have already read it.

My own personal preference is for separate clubs, but I have several reasons for that.

[ul][li]On the selfish side, I’m an academic, and I have more time from May through August to dedicate to non-work reading.[/li][li]As we’ve had some very different options as favorites in the selections, having more of them would allow for different books to be chosen, as well as for different people to participate.[/li][li]More books! is my answer to most any question ;)[/ul][/li]
That said, if people aren’t interested, that’s cool too. It looks like we’ll have a Harry Potter mini-book club over 7 months or so, though, for those that would be interested in more organized reading fun times.
