Isnt there a book called the Physics of the Impossible? Is this related?

A new show on the Science Channel hosted by the man himself Dr. Michio Kaku. He holds a place in my heart similar to what Carl Sagan did for many others. One of those few that really know how to explain science that makes it fun and entertaining. The first episodes aired Tuesday. It didn’t have the epic feel of Cosmos but another great program by someone who really knows there stuff. He talks about the cool things in Sci Fi and how they would work in “real” physics. Also what it would really take to make them work. Did anyone else have a chance to see it?

“Sci-Fi Science: Physics of the Impossible”.

great minds think alike!!

The parallel universe one was cool as well

Opps! I did a search but there probably isn’t a thread here that doesn’t have Sci-Fi or Science in it.

I’m sure one of the Non-David’s will merge them. (Link)

I think there have been similar specials out there but Kaku is so much better than some disembodied narrator. He makes great analogies that make it simple for everyone to understand.

Threads merged.

I really hated that guy ever since he did the show “50 years in the future” where he comes up with absolutely atrocious guesses to what technology will be like in 50 years. He’s either completely delusional or just likes to insult everyone’s intelligence. It was about as believable as back to the future too. Deeply rooted in science fiction.
