Sci-fi Games

I commented about this on one of the blogs can’t remember which and now that chuck audra and sean have been so nice as to provide us with a forum I thought why not make a thread of it.

Currently there is a Battlestar Galactica game in production that is slated to be released sometime near the end of the year. I am hoping that it will be good.

Also for those that are excited about Mass Effect as Chuck mentioned in one of the podcasts I would highly recommend going to a local barnes n noble or Borders and buy Mass Effect: Revealations (its only about 8 bucks) which tells the story of the mass effect universe and introduced some of the characters you will run into throughout the game. Its about 300-400 pages and its quite interesting. The writer of the novel is also the lead writer for the game so if you do have a chance to pick up and read it and hopefully like it then you should enjoy the story of the game. He was also the lead writer of Knights of the Old Republic (for those that played that game on PC or xbox)

I can’t think atm about any other high scifi games coming soon other than halo 3 which chuck started a thread for already so thats about it i think.

Weeeell…

There are currently MMO’s in the works set in the Stargate (here) and Firefly (and here) universes. Though the shows are by no means on the same level in terms of quality (IMO), both franchises bring really rich, deep universes to the table. That fact alone could translate to a couple of immensely entertaining MMO’s.

Dunno if anyone has really taken the time to look into this game that much but Star Wars Force Unleashed has Crashdown (Sam Witwer) playing the main character, who is Darth Vader’s apprentice between episodes 3 and 4.
