She’s not that far off in real life, and she’s got the face of an angel. I’m willing to suspend my disbelief that much.
The butt makes up for it- they don’t need to enhance that.
maybe Joss will do ‘Shiny:the River Tam Cronicles’ (on HBO or Showtime)
I am becoming more & more convinced that intelligently written & well acted shows with an obvious arc should take on the UK model. The seasons for them are too long for a network to justify the budget. If you take a show like T:SCC & run it at 12-13 shows the public has an easier time committing to it. People have busy lives expecting them to commit to 20+ episodes is just too much. I’m also convinced this is why the ratings for Lost & Heroes are steadily dropping. People don’t have the time for dedication of that magnitude. If they miss an episode or 2 they’re out of the loop…why should they watch then?
Too bad, too bad, too bad. It’s a good show.
Very frustrating.
I respect your opinion but although I like Dollhouse I love T:SCC much more. This blows hefty goat chunks
Interesting theory. Lost has a run of about 17 episodes instead of 22, although that hasn’t made much difference. I still think it comes down to having an interest in an intelligent show that takes a bit of thought from episode to episode.
To Be Fair, it deserved to be cancelled and finish when it did.
There are only so many terminator stories of the week you can do, the show did not really have an engaging overall arc the way they were going, there is only so many filler star trek style crap holodeck episodes you can do before the viewers realise that the show is cack and lacking any real direction.
It did finish well though:cool:
Simply put, I think they wrote themselves out of the franchise when, trying to explain Summer Glau’s character within the paradigm of the paradox, they writers declared the SC Chronicles were NOT canon.
Hefty goat chunks indeed… I Loved what they did in season 2, I liked it in season 1 but in season 2 they kicked it into high gear. Not in an action sense, but in some the best character work and storytelling out there. Even though i’m a life long Whedon whore. and i was really happy for the dollhouse renewal, i would have preferred Sarah Conner back.
I finished season 2 this summer.
and i really really loved it. and it makes me so sad that it got canceled. this sux.
I really enjoyed the character cameo episodes in the middle of the season which i believe have gotten some crap, and it has just fabulous characters that i have come to really love. and while its true that its hard to do an evil robot story every week, I don’t think thats what the show was about, and it looked like they had a really cool story idea for season 3.
ps. stephanie jacobson is SO hot in this show, so much hotter than battlestar.
anyways, just thought id post my reaction. again, bear’s music is so incredible. his theme to terminator is one of my favorite tracks of his.
I tried to , well… be me. I tried to pick this show apart and find things about it I hated. I tried to hate BAG becuase of 90210. I tried to hate the writers for casting River as a terminator ( becaus she is soooooo small it’s stupid). I tried to hate the FX.
i couln’t. This show was awome. The characters ruled. I like the actually atttactive actress A LOT better than linda hamilton. This John … can act his ass off. And BAG was great as well.
I tried to be me… I just couldn’t! It was great.
Allow me to vent a little…
this is exactly how I feel…
