OK – here’s a quick solution that’ll let us get together painlessly. There appear to be lots and lots of places in the gaslight district. We’re staying at Hotel Solamar, so why don’t we meet at the hotel bar between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Friday. That’ll give everyone a chance to get there, then we can decide where to head off to for food and drinks – and if we end up waiting a few minutes for anyone, we have a nice comfortable place to chill.
All right! I’m so excited about this trip. Thanks to bkitty and the hub plus everyone else in this thread for all the great suggestions. I think taking the trolley would be fun!

Okay - the hotel bar is called J6 and it is on the rooftop of the hotel (not to be confused with the J6 restaurant next to the hotel). We’ll be up there chillin’ out between 5 and 6 p.m. on Friday and can’t wait to meet y’all!

Unfortunately, Lisa and I can’t make it down from the Bay Area by Friday night (got work duties that day). Definitely will catch up with you guys next time you’re in California. Hopefully, the whole gang can make it out.
Did you mention showing off you Viper-simulator at Makers Faire? Got the magazine, it would be great to see it (and you all again) in real life.
BTW: The bar is on the 4th floor of the hotel. Walk in the front door, turn left and follow the signs to the elevator. Then follow the signs to the bar.
Bummer! But yep, as of right now Sean and I are planning to attend Maker Faire. PopSci indicated that they want to ship the sim, but we won’t know for sure until we get closer. If worst comes to worst, we might shrink it a bit to make it easier to ship.
lol! That’s one of the first places the hub and I were talking about on the suggest of a good friend! It has a great view, and not as swanky as another place we discussed. Karma, baby.

We did dinner at the Tin Fish and dessert at MaryJane’s. Audra took a lot of pix, but I only got a few. Having too much fun.
It was so great to meet up with you, and Lady D, and Darthweef (finally!)- oh, and Chuck and Audra! lol! I must say, I left a bigger fan of this community than when I started, if that’s possible.
