It seems like Apple is suing anyone who uses a capacitive touchscreen, both smartphones and tablets , because they claim to have patents on how to use a capacitive touchscreen.

Samsung is citing that in the 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey, touch screen tablets already exists. So at most Apple tablets is imitating the movie, which should not be patented and everyone else should be free to do the same.

These patent lawsuits make me sad. It reminds me of fights with your brother when you’re kids. You build a really awesome LEGO model, way cooler than your brother’s, so he smashes it to pieces out of jelousy. There’s lots more pieces man, just build something cooler instead of being destructive.
