I presume Broadcast Standards and Practices would prevent showing dramatic scenes in a bathroom involving the excretion of bodily wastes, which is another very real side effect, which might be why they went with the vomitting.

This is why something like Zoloft also has a concurrent subscription for a Lithium item such as Lithium Carbonate or Eskalith.
