Anybody have a Roku box ? How well does it work with Netflix or Amazon-on-Demand?
I bought myself a Roku box and I like it. Glad I did it. Way cheaper than an Apple TV and it’ll serve me just fine for awhile.
Never heard of this device before now. Seems it would be darn useful if I had a TV in another room. How difficult was the setup? Any hiccups in performance? Does it work with other web stream stuff?
Roku also plays Amazon Video-on-Demand, as well as baseball games from MLB.TV if you have an account with them. Also, Leo Laporte’s TWiT network will be airing 5 shows on the Roku soon.
If it weren’t for the fact that I already have an XBOX 360 and use it for Netflix, I might consider getting a Roku.
I have one, as well as the XBox 360 for Netflix Instant view. Love both, but I like the Roku better, as it is silent. The XBox is a little noisy. 
The only thing I would add is the ability to view/search/add items available for Instant View like the XBox, but that is more a bonus and less a need.
I’ve had the a Roku box for a few wks now. I love it. So easy with Netflix. Between receiving DVDs in the mail and Instant Watch, I don’t think I’ll be seeing the inside of Blockbuster anytime soon.
