Robin Hood vs. Zorro

A deathmatch of the take from the rich and give to the pour types.

It’s hard to choose between two spread the wealth guys. I’m going to have to write in “Joe the Plumber”.

Robin Hood. Love anything medieval.

I went with Robin Hood, because Men in Tights is awesome.

Gotta go Robin Hood. Zorro always struck me as a bit of a poseur.

My favorite Mel Brooks sight gag was in “Men in Tights”…
Sale on circumcisions- 1/2 off.

I had to go with Robin Hood because he’s the more interesting character.
Also, Men in Tights is hilarious.

I voted Zorro, but really, it depends… Which Robin Hood? Which Zorro? Errol Flynn Robin Hood? Costner? As depicted in Shrek? And which Zorro? The Zorfro of classic movie serials? Gay Blade Zorro? Antonio Banderas?

And I know that write-ins aren’t an option, but my favorite steal-from-the-rich-and-give-to-the-poor hombre is Dennis Moore (Monty Python).

This one is really kind of a no-brainer. Arrows work from a distance, swords don’t.

Robin Hood because there is a great amount of mythology around him.

i dont think arrows are allowed in the ring/cage… in a physical mano a mano battle, i go with zorro. robin gets a run in his tights, loses focus, and zorro outmatches him…

This is why Robin Hood loses:

ps: from Kate Beaton’s website

There should be a deathmatch between two sword masters, Zorro and Inigo Montoya…

Inigo Montoya has dueled with Robin Hood when you think about it.
I play chess online from time to time, and in the comments I type:
My name is Inigo Montoya…you killed my father…prepare to die.
Just for the hell of it.

Gotta go with Zorro.

  1. He is already rich, so he puts his neck on the line to fight injustice, period.

2)He doesn’t need to steal to help the poor, he does it by fighting injustice.

  1. Also, he works alone, so he gets props for not having a posse to back him up.

  2. Swords are so much cooler than arrows (I think I’m picking a fight here). Don’t belive me? please point out the epic archery battle in Star Wars…

While both are excelent swords men. Their secondary weapons are where Robin Hood wins. He has a ranged attack. Range always wins
