No, I;m not far behind on episodes and only recently saw “Sine Qua Non.” The real cat is dead.

In this interview with Marl Sheppard, he reveals that the real cat was run over by its owner’s neighbor not long after the episode was shot.

The cat went through a lot in its 10-11 year life- shortly before “Sine Qua Non” it was in a fight with another cat and had to have its ear sewn back on for the episode, and you can see it if you look very carefully.

Lance. I never caught the real name- Mark only calls it “the cat” in the interview.
