Oh that’s just cruel…
Oh, definitely Leia. Because Starbuck is not a whiny crybaby… she’s got balls. Lee is definitely Luke.

Oops I did it again…
maybe?
I don’t agree with the capital punishment aspect of it. But then, at the same time, keeping these guys alive could jeopardize the fleet in the long run. I mean, Zarek is frakkin’ dangerous, lest we forget wasn’t it him who hatched the plan to murder Lee on Kobol? I don’t see what choice they had but to get rid of Gaeta and Zarek.
I just really, really want something bad to happen to those traitoress biyotches, Seelix and Racetrack. Adama said there’d be a reckoning!!
I keep going back and forth on this one.
On one hand, I think it could be representing how he’s found peace with everything right before the end–the feeling got worse and worse as the coup went on, a physical manifestation of his guilt and uncertainty.
On the other hand–and this would be in keeping with BSG’s rule of "whatever is the worst thing that could happen to you will happen to you, I think you could also take it as him finally realizing–too late–that while time may not heal all wounds perfectly, time does a lot of healing. Finally, the phantom leg went away; he just had to wait it out and keep going. Finally, an alliance might have worked, with both sides being able to put the past and the dead behind them enough to move on. If that’s the case, then he realized in that moment that he just didn’t hang on quite long enough, that he didn’t need to bring the world crashing down.
I’m really hoping for his sake it’s the first, but I like that it’s tinged with that bit of ambiguity.
That “possibly” on your list is disproved by next week’s trailer where he’s alive…thankfully. wipes brow But wow, this episode was brutal regardless.
The most upsetting for me was the shooting of the Quorum, and I didn’t even know any of the characters. It was just so messed up. At that point, there really was no other way for Zarek and Gaeta to go.
There is really no other way to treat a Mutineer.
