Ridiculous Star Trek Aliens

I found myself howling with laughter…but because it is Star Trek centric I had to share it here.

Enjoy.

Fabulous. I particularly enjoy the eyebrows

Having just watched A Piece of the Action yesterday, the Iotians are ridiculous, but not in the same way. And I have to say, I’m a bit disappointed that Shahna wasn’t included, though. The green hair and metal everything-but-the-heel-of-her-boots is kind of ridiculous, too

LOL. Much analysis of discussion of Shanna on the Trek Tuesday Frak Party this week.
And I think it’s the only woman that Kirk ever punches…until the Star Trek VI movie.

Just watched The Omega Glory last weekend (appropriately enough). It was the one with the war between the Yangs and the Comms.

This is another one of those episodes that was a lot cooler when I was 13 than when I’m 37. In addition the evolutionary story of the bacterial resistance doesn’t make a whole lot of sense…

Don’t be a Herbert.

I Reach (IYKWIM)

I have to say the Medusans were pretty lame. Especialy given their name and their story…Just a little to lame for me.

Also… TOS Klingon women. They don’t look alien, just dirty!

Most Star Trek aliens are rediculous. A little piece of latex on the nose or forehead and voila! New Species. I know the budget could not allow for species 8427-like aliens in every episode but most aliens (post TOS) are just variations of Klingons with less make-up. This is not to say that there were not some cool ones (ie: Borg, 8427, Morn). But for the most part a humanoid alien from TNG looked exactly like humanoid aliens from Voyager who looked exactly like humanoid aliens from Enterprise. When the movie came out back in May I was loving the new aliens in it. The long face alien from the cantina, the doctor with the huge eyes and the bridge officer from the Kelvin. They were great because they actually looked ALIEN.

Oh, that’s funny, Solai! HAHAHA!!! Thank you!
