Rewatch of favorite episodes so far

I would have ranked them in that order as well.
‘Through the Looking Glass’

Jack’s devastatedness (word?) was a big surprise for me. Him standing on the bridge, already expecting the scene I get emotional.

That was the only redeeming thing about ‘Stranger in a Strange Land’, I assumed he was returning from his tail spin in Thailand and that explained his demeanor, otherwise some red flags would have been raised.

Anyone else agreeing that Michael Giacchino does an fantastic job with the score?

Michael Giacchino is nothing short of brilliant, and a perfect fit for Lost.

Jack is always trying to fix things. I wonder where he got that.

I always saw it stemming from his relationship with his father. Always trying to prove himself or prove his father wrong.

But who told the to built it, when Ben had no contact to Jacob? Or did Jacob tell Richard?

I think he received instructions from Jacob, like the list, but had no direct contact.

Still unsure if Taller Ghost Walt is in the Jacob, the Anti-Jacob or nobodies camp.

I will bet five mangos that it was anti-Jacob.

Still don’t understand Jack telling the doctor to get his father down, do you?

There was a theory about that being an alternate time line, which doesn’t seem so crazy now. The coffin wasn’t on the plane after all…but wait that wasn’t after landing in LA, but after the Oceanic 6 were rescued. head explodes

The last scene was the biggest mindfrak I’ve ever had up until this very moment writing this. I was so shell-shocked, I believed that Jack and Kate have known each other BEFORE the Oceanic flight 815 crash because she looked like under 20 years old. What are your thought, remembering watching this scene?

I felt like I went to get the mail and found a snake in the mailbox.

‘The Constant’

Isn’t Dan one of the most sympathetic characters on the show?

I love Dan, I hope we haven’t seen the last of him.

Desmond finding him in 1996 and Dan believing him, great scenes between the two of them. Will the explosion of the hydrogen bomb (radiation) result into something similar?

I get the feeling Juliet flashed like Desmond, and that’s how she knew that it worked.

The Hanso Foundation/Family, another player in the game we really know nothing about. Widmore is really trying to find every piece that has a connection to the Island.

I hope before it’s over we get some history of the Black Rock, both Hanso’s story and Richard’s.

And why didn’t he close the water tap?

I don’t know, but running water is often a symbol of time.

The two scenes of Pen & Des, best what the series has ever archived in my mind. Normally I don’t like love stories, but how LOST does it is simply perfect.

Yes. That is the heart of the episode, and the main reason why it’s the best.
Did you catch the ‘Christmas Carol’ references? More Charles Dickens allusions in Desmond’s story.

Thank you for participating in the discussion of my favorite episodes and enjoy the Premiere!
Namaste, and Good Luck!

Thank you Brotha, It was a great way to bone-up for the new season.
Namaste

IMO there were no redeeming things about ‘Stranger in a Strange Land’:stuck_out_tongue:

Have listened to his best tracks on Tuesday evening before the premiere. Hope that he’ll do some concerts like Bear McCreary.

Can see that, but after Christian has “died” (or has he?) Jack’s fixomania has gotten worse and worse.

So did he get post by Jacob or who brought the list to Ben?

Have to fold that hand, since I’ve got no other inkling.

Hmmmm, somewhere I’ve heard that before. LOL

Not saying something spoilery, but I seem to remember TBTB saying,
that Daniel’s story wasn’t over yet after his death.
Thought that as well. Maybe her flash-sideways pendant had some dejavue like Jack, but stronger.

I’m sure we will, but not about Hanso.

Maybe Widmore knew that Desmond had this conscience jumps.

Never been a big Charles Dickens reader. Maybe before I die.

It was my pleasure!

Can see that, but after Christian has “died” (or has he?) Jack’s fixomania has gotten worse and worse.

That’s because his fixation transferred to Locke.

So did he get post by Jacob or who brought the list to Ben?

We know now that it was delivered by ankh.

Yeah. I was thinking about how Desmond and Fisher Stevens (Mikowski?) went catatonic when they flashed. I hope Sawyer didn’t do a “Niki and Paulo” to Juliet.

I’m sure we will, but not about Hanso.

Wasn’t Magnus Hanso on the Black Rock? I guess I took the ledger to be more of a journal.

Never been a big Charles Dickens reader. Maybe before I die.

Save ‘Our Mutual Friend’ for last.

BTW here are Bele and Lukai from the Star Trek episode ‘Let that be Your Last Battlefield’. Their black and white halves were on opposite sides which fueled their all consuming hatred for each other.

At this point, with Widmore and Ben, it’s hard to tell who is good and who is evil. It seems that the same ambiguity has cropped up between Jacob and anti-Jacob.

Wow. That is just about the coolest picture. Nice job.

Thanks. I remember Audra made a joke a wile back about using the Cheronians as Othello pieces. I laughed because it seemed very cruel and “Plato’s step child” of her…and then she started using battle tactics like genocide and sodomy.

So have you updated your list with the episodes so far in season 6?

Only partially.

I think, that I’ll do a new ranking in the summer after I’ve watched the hole series again in a row.
