Red Dead Redemption

Figured. :frowning:

That’s too bad, a group of friends of mine like to get together every Thursday night and we rotate games. RDR is coming back into that rotation, and you would have been more than welcome! But we do 95% of our gaming on the PS3 unfortunately.

Has anyone else got Undead Nightmare yet? I picked it up a couple of weeks ago. It’s a lot of fun. Ammo can be quite scarce, but by rotating your weapon you can get enough. I hope they release another large expansion like this, or even better we get a sequel. I imagine any sequel will be more like the GTA series. Not a direct continuation, but set it the same sort of world.

I haven’t gotten Undead Nightmare yet, but probably will once I have some time to really play it and give it my full attention.

RDR is definitely one of my favorites this past year, so have a ton of fun with it, Brent! And this is coming from someone who’s never actually finished a Rockstar game before - they always get way too tedious for me somewhere in the middle of it, and then I end up abandoning the game, and then I’d sell it because it would have been months since I played it - but RDR I never got that feeling, the story and John Marston made quite an impression on me, and I loved every minute of the game. Except for one thing. Well, two.

  1. I hate cattle herding.
  2. It took me quite some time to figure out how to duel. I can’t count how many times some schmuck kills me at a duel. Which, not fun.

One of the few games that garnered an immediate re-play after I finished it the first time. I have like two more things I need to finish to get the “Redeemed” achievement. Definetly should go back and finish that up.

Just started playing RDR (PS3) over the weekend since Mrs. Amberite was on the Mac, and I got my dailies in WoW done before she needed it. Having lots of fun so far, but I noticed that when I fail a mission (ok, bounty got away), and I reload from a save point, the mission is no longer available. Kinda weird…

The bounties are basically a “random” mission. They’ll be posted on the wanted boards periodically so if you fail one don’t worry too much about it, there will always be a new one later.

If you’re ever interested in joining a group of people on the PS3 for multiplayer, my crew and I might do a RDR night in the near future. Add me on PSN “Dasflikko” if you want!

Well, RDR took a back seat to Rock Band 3 over the weekend. Talk about a video-game hangover. My wife got back into town after being away and needed a serious distraction. Well, 2 nights, 2 different sets of friends, 3:30 in the morning on each nite

Flik, I’m a PS3 guy, so I’ll kick you a PSN request soon!
