Recording BSG Daybreak pts 1 & 2 and Last Frakkin Special

I have my DVD recorder set to record tonight’s episode, next Friday’s episode and then the Last Frakkin Special…all 4 hours on one disc. Anyone else out there able to do this if the weather craaaaps out on me while I away for vacation and I need a copy? My sister and brother-in-law rely on me for their BSG fix…so I need a Plan B.

I wish I had your Plan A.

I wish my Plan A was hooked up to the big frakkin UPS at work that would run my recorder for hours instead of the little one I have that will run things for about 10-15 minutes.

Well they are set on my DVR, and I have a DVD-R, so if something happens I can transfer them to DVD if something happens at your house

Thank you Raemani! I’m hoping that nothing happens weather wise to cause a power outage, but the ice and wind storms we’ve had here this winter have made it kinda iffy if one pops up while I’m gone this week.

Gryper and Raemani, what kind of DVD-R decks do you have? How do you like 'em? Would you reccommend them? I need to get one like right now. And computer-based ones aren’t an option. Just looking for a good, reliable, plug-and-play one to plug into the TV/DVR.

I actually have 2 but the more expensive one can’t be connected to my cable directly so I bought a cheap one for that. The more expensive one is a VCR/DVD unit which won’t load any DVD other than the cleaning disc now…go figure. I’ll let you know the brand next week when I get back home. Needless to say I’ll be shopping for a new recorder myself soon as I get this trip paid off.

Not that I am suggesting you do this, but there are ways to get the episodes after they have aired in high quality and without ads.

Yeah, I know. But even if I used other ways to obtain I don’t know if their player is new enough to watch them. And they can’t watch them on their old Gateway computer running Windows/ME.
