Just got a pirate copy of Razor - I know I know - I’m going to burn in hell, but at least I’ll burn in hell AFTER I’ve seen Razor…
All I have to say is - not enough Starbuck, not enough Baltar, not enough Adama, and I never thought I would say this - not enough Tigh!!! It was good enough, but I just never really cared that much about Shaw - I never got a good enough footing on who she was and how she was to feel anything for her.
Lee, however, was at his whiney best. I can’t believe he ordered Starbuck to die!!! That just went a little far for me.
When Pegasus found a civilian fleet, Cain didn’t even seem shocked - like she planned it all along. I felt no sympathy for her. Someone should have bashed her over the head. Her hair looked great.
My husband thought it was one of the best episodes ever - comparing it to those from the first season. He, however, has not been ruminating over all of this for the past 6 months, and has not been involved in the Rewatch.
I will say this - the old school Cylons creeped me out a LOT more than the new ones. They look like evil, conscious, football players and move like people. SCAREY!!!:eek:
I’m sure I’ll feel differently after watching it a couple of more times. 
I agree about the old Skool cylons they are more creepy. I kinda hope we see more of them in season 4 …
as for getting a pirated copy I think its all good especially since Sci Fi is teasing us and not giving us more BSG until April 2008 when u know they already have afew ep post production!
I dunno, Hybrid Master – Lee’s order to Starbuck is all sort of that “Cold Equations” mindset that is prevalent in BSG, so it didn’t bother me that much. Maybe it was just because I knew Kara would survive – the ending with Shaw volunteering to stay was rather predictable, although I still found it powerful – but it didn’t strike me as out of character. You could tell Lee hated giving the order, and Kara hated hearing it, but he gave it and she was willing to obey it. They’re soldiers.
What bothered me more, as I’ve said elsewhere, is Admiral Adama mucking around in Lee’s command after he’d promised he wouldn’t, and then telling him a few moments later, without any hint of irony, “It’s your command, it’s your call.” So it’s only Lee’s responsibility when things look hopeless?!?!
As for the pirated copy: if you still buy the DVD when it is released, it doesn’t make the piracy legal or OK, but at least the actors and writers and everyone else will still get some of your money.

i am one of those people who illegally download it, then buy the dvd for all the extra features. I know razor will be packed with good stuff. Plus I love the commentary tracks which people never put up on p2p, so i hope in the end i’m not a bad guy.

Any unauthorized reproduction, whether or not for profit, is illegal under copyright law – that’s the best of my understanding. The sponsors pay for the Sci Fi airing, but who pays for an unauthorized recording? No one. Therefore, no one involved in the creation of the show gets money. When you buy the DVD, though, they get their money, and everyone’s happy.
Again, buying the product later doesn’t make the unauthorized stuff okay, but it does insure that the people who made the show get paid for their work.
I may be fuzzier on this, but I do belive the courts ruled back in the 1980s that making one personal copy of a CD or videotape you had purchased was legal. I wouldn’t want to stand on that in court, either, though.
yea i have heard too with copy at least with cds it can get fuzzy. for example if I bought a cd it is legal if I made a copy for my wife since we are in the same household, But if I made acopy for you that is illegal… I am not 100% sure if this is true but I did read it once…
either way me personally rather have an orginal copy of the dvd/cd …
The big layer for Sony stated a little while back that they consider anyone who makes a copy or rips a CD/DVD even for personal reasons (backup, mp3) to be pirating their material and thus in violation of law.
so when the cylons die and go into a new body and copy themselevs I think they are violating the law!
Maybe not the old cylons from razor but the skin jobs are breaking the law!

You guys are too funny! I’m TOTALLY getting the DVD when it comes out too - I just couldn’t wait!!! I can’t wait to see the extras. I wish there were extras withe the itunes downloads…
