I’ve heard of the writer but not the novel series - not really surprising since I generally don’t read alot of generic, off-the-shelf sci-fi (maybe I should start, but I’m not much of a risk-taker). I suppose that if anything could have a chance at having a successful Kickstarter campaign and getting us some good old-fashioned starship-based sci-fi TV, it’d be this. Lord knows we could use it in this day and age.

Loved his movies as a kid. Met him twice at conventions in CA, even have his autograph on a photo of his dragon from ‘Seventh Voyage of Sinbad’. Nice guy, and a true artist… I got to see a bunch of his creatures up close and personal at the marvelous museum in Forrest J Ackerman’s house in CA, good God the stuff he had in there… :eek:
