I liked the animated series, but the movie went waaaaaay off the reservation. So far off that it was almost unrecognizable as a Spawn movie, but what ultimately sunk the film was the lame ending. Which would have been quite forgivable if McFarlane had not been involved with the project, Hollywood has ruined many a comic book movie by wanting to reinvent or re-imagine comic material. But it was entirely all in McFarlane’s hands, which made the Frak-up all the more confusing for us as we viewed his film.

Todd McFarlane Explains What He Wants From a Low-Budget, Dark ‘Spawn’ Film
Well, low-budget because that’s all anyone’s willing to invest at this point. And Dark? It’s the story of a murdered contract killer who is in thrall to hell. Yeah, it’s going to be dark. I would hope.
That is so awesome! This has fast become one of my favourite shows, after I overcame my initial bias when Chuck mentioned on the cast he had felt the same way. I don’t know why I thought it was stupid but I marathoned seasons 1-3 with joy. How is such a geeky show so popular with mainstream America?
I will no longer be posting on this thread. I am sick and Frakking tired of having all of my news items stolen and twittered to Sean and Chuck, and not having the common decency to mention where they got the news item from.
It frustrates the Hell out of me to time and again hear a segment on the news section of the podcast about something I know damned well I posted on this thread, but never hear my name mentioned. It is Bullshit and I am sick of this!
Listen. If I got upset every time I thought the Crue used something I WAS SURE I had introduced them to, or pretty much quoted something I’d said on a thread, or felt I’d said something cool on Twitter and then it was credited to somebody else, well, I’d be scowling my ass off pretty much 24-7. The Crue gets info from a thousand different places, I’m sure, from people in the entertainment industry, from people who know nothing, from you, from me, from people we don’t even know. In today’s world information passes like frakkin’ lightning.
Don’t be frustrated. You put something cool out here on a thread or a post, people read it, and appreciate your input. Whether or not you’re first, last, whatever…It’s all about the sharing.
No offense but I read this and went back about 8 pages and saw nothing that wasn’t big and wildly reported news that the Crüe mentioned. Posting it first in this thread is hugely irrelevant to when people first hear about. Take a pill.
Nooooooooo! Don’t stop posting news items. You and others posting stuff is how I stay on top of what’s coming out! The only thing I really have been keeping track of is The Hobbit news.
Those of us following this tread appreciate your posts and remember who posted what…well most of the time.
gotta echo what folks are saying here. Your posts are most definitely appreciated and recognized. everyone on the boards has been “someoned” - it’s not a personal shot. Everyone has posted something only to find out it was posted on anohter thread, it’s not ignoring a contribution. There’s so much stuff out there, Im a little surprised it doesnt happen more often.
We’re a community and everyone has something to contribute. Everyone who finds cool stuff should want to sharie it.
I cant stop you from not posting cool stuff anymore…what I will say is that I hope you continue, cuz it would be missed.
It takes a lot to defeat Wonder Woman! Though Marquee previously reported that plans for a TV reboot starring the Amazing Amazon had been scrapped, David E. Kelley now says the series is back on track.
