As discussed in the Proposed Book Club Improvements thread we want to know what people think about having one’s votes be public versus private. I highly recommend reading the thread to hear other’s thots before you vote, as there are solid arguments for both sides. Also, please note that this will be a private poll. Feel free to state what you voted and why if you wish here, but it is certainly not necessary.

I voted Public. Me reasons are in the other thread.
I voted “public,” but I am ambivalent about the subject. I lean toward public voting because I agree that it is fun to see who voted for what and it sparks both interest in books I might not have considered and conversation with forum members I might not know that well yet. I can see the other side, too, but I’m leaning public at the moment.
I voted public just cause…I don’t really see it being detrimental at all to the project if it’s known who voted for what. It might even foster discussion as somebody who hasn’t read X can be like “Oh hey you voted for X, is it good, what’s it about etc”
I voted public too, because once you get a feel for people, if you see someone who shares a lot of your interests, but has voted for a book you’ve never read, well, I will probably check it out.
I vote public for similar reasons to the above.
