There is a big difference between the book and the movie. The book has more meat on it’s bones. I do want to hear what you think of it when you’re done.

It was so shocking to me that Mr. Bingley dropped by Jane’s sick room in the 2005 version. Seemed so inconsistent with the period.

I think many consider Persuasion her best work. As much as I love P&P, I think I’d have to agree. It’s so tight in story and character development and her social observations are as sharp as ever.

I’ll pause for a moment then. Just have to say what great physical acting is done by the actor playing Mr. Collins. He has that little sneer, like something icky is stuck in his teeth. I just love it. He is so gross and he has no idea how gross he is- perfect casting.
