Pride And Prejudice Mini-Series--Saturday, October 3rd at Noon ET

speaking of the latest film version, Brenda Blethyn is a fine Mrs Bennet, but she’s got nothing on how supremely annoying, crass, and vulgar this one is.

and there’s Duckface!!

I love this actress who plays Mary- perfect stick up her ass.

be my guest, sweetie

indeed!! and Lydia couldn’t be better either  I had fantasies of beheading her long before I read the zombie version

When do the zombies show up? I’m feeling lost.

please!! I’ve been craving this frak to help dispel all that zombie craaaap from my memory!

and unfortunate in her homeliness as well. no wonder she’s such a prig

the actor who plays Mr Bingley makes a brief, non-speaking appearance in Bridget Jones’ Diary

Mr. Hearst is as slovenly and dull as I had always imagined. This actor does a great job of sprawling on the settee and snoring.

Darcy really is a d-bag to begin with, isn’t he?

Who gardens in white dresses? Sheesh.

people who don’t do their own laundry

snort the colonel and his child bride. Skeeeevy.

Mrs Forster played the indecisive Henrietta Musgrove in Persuasion. another excellent Austen adaptation

I do love Persuasion.

I cringe for Jane & Lizzy. Their family is so uncouth.

very skeevy. the Bennets should have taken that into consideration when they invited Lydia

have you read/seen The Jane Austen Book Club? one of the characters posits that Charlotte is “not romantic” because she’s gay. that’s as good an explanation as contracting zombifying illness for why she’d marry Mr Collins

I do love when Darcy puts Miss Bingley in her place.

I thought the book fell very short of its strong beginning. The movie was cute though.
