Posters, artwork? What's on your wall?

What kind of artwork is on your wall? Movie posters? Sports posters? Priceless works of art stolen in daring robberies by internation teams of expert catburglers?

Spoiler warning for comic book readers, and sorry for my lackluster cameraphone pictures.

Artwork from Kevin Smith’s Batman books. On the left is an original inked panel from Batman Cacophony, on the right, from the sequel, Batman Widening Gyre.

Another Batman WG panel. I framed this one on it’s own because it’s a fairly iconic panel from the series.

These are 3 penciled panels from Karney. They slipped down in the frame while I was moving a shelf so I’ve gotta bust it open and reset them.

Another original page. This one is from War of the Undead. The book is about Frankenstein, the Warewolf, and Dracula, fighting occult practicing Nazis in WW2.

Last of my original stuff. These are my favorite 2 pieces. They’re both double page splashes from a rejected Marvel Zombies book. Wish I had a better picture of this one because there’s lots of great little details.

Kevin Smith hockey poster. Autographed by Kevin and a bunch of his friends.

Futurama blacklight poster. Now I just need a blacklight to mount above it. Got this guy out of a Futurama comic book a few months ago.

Good idea for a thread. I took this a while back:

No filters, my walls are yellow, and those posters have a lot of yellow in them. I have a few more I can take later.

Left: a diagram of the Leonov from 2010. On the right, a Bsg propaganda poster.

I mostly have photographs on the walls. Bedroom has photographs I’ve taken of flowers, and a watercolor I bought in Havana of the Plaza de la Catedral.

Living room has photographs from my international travels, a scroll from Japan, a number of wall art pieces from South America, and a painting given to us by close friends.

I’m looking forward to having an office so I can have the First Cylon War painting poster framed and hanging in it

My walls are basically bare, except for the Oblivion map (which I hung up years ago when I got tired of scrolling all around to find locations when fast travelling) and a small framed picture of… a frog xD I might take a pic of it later, I got it when I was really young.

Well, this’ll actually take a couple posts for me.

Downstairs, I mostly have a Boy Scouts theme. Lots of Normal Rockwell prints (actually still a few that I haven’t framed and put up because I have just about enough on the walls as it is.

Also a couple t-shirts from camps I went to that my mother had framed when I outgrew them. Can’t even tell they’re fabric unless you get pretty close.

Once we get into the dining room, the outdoor theme continues with a color changing picture I got for cheap. The seasons change as you move around.

And a couple small eagle things (theme continued on next post.

I have more eagle stuff in the entryway.

And a close up that will explain why I consider the paperweight “eagle stuff”

My kitchen has one wall decoration with substantial personal value. This was hanging in my grandparents house for years. Grandma loved cardinals, and whenever I see one, I at least think “Hi, Grandma.”

To fill up this second post, here’s what’s in Rodney’s room/my exercise room.

One more post to finish upstairs.

The only non-family picture in my bedroom.

And now into my upstairs living area.

Awesome art sets Starsaber. Love how you have themes that change as you go through the house. I especially like those puzzles you have up. I remember my dad did that for me when I was really young. Every time I completed a puzzle he’d glue it to a backing and hang it like artwork.

My living room walls have prints of paintings:

One of Dali’s portraits of his sister staring out to sea
A Degas that is not a creepy pedophile ballerina painting
Matisse’s Nude in Blue
A poster of a vintage print with a pretty, naked redhead riding a flying bicycle that has wings instead of petals

On our bookcases we have displayed:

Family pics
2 pics of us together
A picture of my childhood cat, Philbert Lily
My signed photo of Katee Sackhoff

In the sun room we have a poster of a vintage postcard advertising Cuba

In the bedroom we have a painting that S created hanging above our bed and a painting by my HS best friend hanging over our dresser
