I thought I would give a little bump to this thread now 2 is out. I imported Anda so no brand new characters but I did start an Infiltrator since my last post.
I tried to make him look like me but this is as close as I could get while still keeping him handsome :). (sorry for the bad picture quality only had a camera phone.)
How do you screen capture on a pc? All these pics look great! Wish I knew how to make my own.
I like a program called Fraps.
If you can play in windowed mode you could use the snipping tool in windows.
Most of mine I just take a picture of the screen and upload.
Mass Effect 2 update of Anda, I love me some dress robes:

On a Windows PC its fairly simple. Just press the button on your keyboard that says “Print Screen”. Then go to Paint (or any other drawing program) and hit paste. There is your screencap.
Thanks for the info! I am going to see if I can manage a screen cap in the next week or so. (Life is crazy busy at the mo’)
Hmmm. How do you add a picture? How sad am I? The FAQ says:
below the message box, you will find a button labelled ‘Manage Attachments’. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.
I can’t find this button at all! Nor do I know what the attachement icon looks like. Hovering over the icons tell me nothing. Pressing the buttons does nothing.
If someone could give me a hint, that would be great. (And when I finally “get” it, the answer will be so stupidly obvious that I KNOW I will regret this message.) Sigh.
On the UP side – Fraps works wonders and I have some nice screen caps!
I would say the best way is to register at one of the photo hosting sites like Photobucket. It is free and after you upload the pic just copy the direct link address and paste it into the box that pops up when you click on the “Insert Image” button.
Yeah, hosting it somewhere is probably you’re best bet. We might not even have attachements enabled on these boards, at least I’ve never seen anyone use it.
I have been using Image Shack for hosting of photos. Basically, you upload the image there, then you put the link to it on the forum.
This is my renegade femshep. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Avina Shepard
Sentinal
Renegade
Do all the renegade gals have red eyes?
OK. Here we go. Thanks for the help on this. Yipee! It worked!
Here is my Paragon Shep.
My Renegade Vanguard. Waiting for a better action shot. Her cheeks came out a bit more angular than I wanted since I was too dumb to figure out how to rotate during ME1 char creation.
ETA: Reasonably sized photo with a better angle.
Anyone that imported their character know if you can alter your face? I heard yes but if you do you have to start from scratch. Can anyone confirm or deny this? (just want to change it slightly I’m getting OCD with this :))
So it seems that most of the Chick Shepards are Red Heads.
Yes you can import your old face as is or you can alter it if you would like. THe updates are a bit better if you recreate your character i think
Woah. Don’t take this the wrong way by my Shepherd wants to do really dirty things to you Shepherd…and I know you know what I mean.
I wonder if that is a Galactic Watercooler thing or an overall ME2 thing. Most of the female Shepards on Youtube (the ones I have seen, anyway) appear to be brunettes with a heavy leaning of blonds.
Have you ever had that “this is sooooo wrong” feeling when watching another Shepard on youtube with YOUR Shepards voice? I don’t get the feeling with the pictures, just the video.
All my shepards are blonde but Ive seen a whole lot of brunettes out there.
This is my Paragon Infiltrator who I did my best to make look like scottish actor Peter Mullan, who is awesome as Lenny Douglas on The Fixer.
If you import a character from ME1 you can redo the face but I dont know if that affects anything besides the looks.
