Point Break/Bad Boys II/Hot Fuzz Arc

I finished Hot Fuzz last night and I am now an unrepentant Simon Pegg fan. Everything this guy does is brilliant. If you know the film you will know that Point Break and Bad Boys II play a significant part of Hot Fuzz. Watching Point Break and Bad Boys II I am sure will increase my appreciation for Hot Fuzz and many of the shots, lines and actions they took.

Am I alone that this would be an awesome arc? I know Point Break has come up a few times with the Crue, and Bad Boys II? Hells yeah. We know there is nothin’ but love for Will.

Who is with me? Please reply to this thread if you like this arc pitch.

Yeah, I thought about that. I would certainly watch it as I am a sucker for those movies. Four movies is a big ask usually, three…especially when they do tie together is an easier one.

We can have that all figured out by the time we get to the Frontier. :wink:

I’m always game for Hot Fuzz! Been ages since I’ve seen Point Break (I think I prefer Roadhouse) and never saw Bad Boys or Bad Boys II.

Only seen Hot Fuzz once so I dont remember anything specifically pointing to Bad Boys II; only mention that because Bad Boys I is a much better movie. Swap those two and I am down with this arc 100%. :smiley:

Have seen and loved Bad Boys, liked Bad Boys II and Hot Fuzz is sitting on my external harddrive and I’ve got to watch it one day. Don’t know how much our GWC host are willing covering non genre stuff.

Since we are there, why not an arc about a TV series, like LOST! I’m sure that there would be great interview partners for that. Like one show per season. hopinganddreamingintotheunknown

I get the feeling that it’s more a matter of, they arne’t sure how accepting the audience will be if they break out of that area. So far, it’s been successful, I’m thinking with this community, it will remain so.

it may be a bit outside the beaten path, but i think it’s tangental enough. hot fuzz is graet, and seeing point break especially does enhance your viewing of hot fuzz.

I saw HF (before SotD, actually) but never saw the other two, above. Is there specific references, or is it pretty much any-recent-cop-drama references?
