Photoshop Question

Hey all! I’ve been fumbling around Photoshop to get some things done for work. My latest thing was to take a scanned in .jpg of my signature, make a transparent back ground and then save it as a .gif to use in various apps. Microsoft likes it. The badge creation/printing software doesn’t and that’s what I really need it for. For some reason, that app thinks it has a black background with a white border around my black signature. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Hmm, could be specific limitation of the app. But let me ask you about the process you followed:

  1. Scanned the signature
  2. Opened in Photoshop
  3. Selected white background and deleted
  4. Saved as .gif

What is the app out of curiosity? Can you post the sig as it is right now?

Does it have to be a gif? TIFF supports transparency too
