Photos with Stars

Not only do I like having autographs, but I like having actual evidence that I have seen certain stars. I currently have three scrapbooks loaded with autographs and photograghs of all my favorite stars and me. Well, some are just of the stars…to show I was there…

But it’s a fun hobby… for me anyway…

I love that too, though I don’t always have the cash to do both. In the most recent case, I just got an autographed photo but no picture with me and the actor. I do have a pic of Chuck and me with Aaron Douglas, though!

What’s your fav.

Mine is: Summer Glau and me.

Well sweetie I’m surprised that was your favorite Star encounter b/c that was the one you were the least able to function during. LOL…

Then again she was very nice and very pretty.

You forgot how good she smells…

I have very few pictures with folks. I tend to forget my camera. I used to have a picture of me and Amber Benson but I can’t find it anymore.

Not me in the picture, but my wife and I ran into Keanu Reaves in a cheese store in Switzerland. I asked if I could take a picture of him with my wife and said of course then thanked me for asking. He was actually quite polite and friendly.

“Cheese. Whoa.”

That’s awesome… And there was no guy near him that came up afterward and was like: That’ll be five dollars for having your picture with him?

I like the stars that are really cool.
I’ve only met a couple of stars that just made me go: You know…if you’re going to that way…I’ll just leave you alone…forever…and all your movies too…

Warwick (Sp?) Davis is my case in point… The guy was just down right rude to us… All we wanted was a picture with him, and he was all demanding that we buy his book or something…And he was just…rude…

Lou Farigno (SP?) was rude too. I brought him my: Death of the Incredible Hulk, DVD and asked him to sign it. And he wanted me to buy his 20 dollar book before he would even talk to us…

Why would I buy your 20 dollar book on your life as a body-builder when that’s not even why you’re famous to me???

But, I can say this…

I have NEVER met a Whedon-star I didn’t like… They’ve been the coolest… And so is Peter Mayhew… He kissed me on the cheek… I dunno why…

Actually, there’s another funny part of the story. While we were there this young woman (maybe college age) runs excitedly up to him, points a shaking finger in his direction and starts going “Are you… are you… are you…”

Reeves looks at her and very calmly says. “Yes I am.” He then points his finger at her, starts shaking it and says “Are you… are you… are you…”

The girl takes a deep breath and says “Yes.” Reeves laughs and gives her a hug.

Like I said, he seemed to be a really nice guy, at least to a bunch of tourists who ran into him while on vacation.

Erin Grey has always been a favorite of mine too. She’s always super nice and let’s us take like 10 photos…And she only wants any donation you wanna make to her charity.

If I could get my pics withthe cast of BSG I’d probably do it like this guy.

Celebrities are so tired of getting their picture taken with fans… why not mix it up a bit for them and make it fun.

Check these out

                    Christina Hendricks

It will not post the graphics on there…odd…Anyway…Cylon_Sleeper (tall, blue shirt), GothicJossMinion (Left), MissMuffet (Master shirt), and K. McClure (duh)

Damn dude. I feel like a slacker.

this isn’t exactly a photo with a star, but it’s at a famous movie location that some friends and i road tripped to last summer.

this one is in front of RST Video Rental (sadly now closed), made famous in the movie Clerks where Jay & Silent Bob peddle their wares

that’s me (Listerfend) on the right with my friend.

this is my other friend buying some gatorade at the Quick-Stop convenience store in which much of Clerks takes place, next door to RST Video:

and this is a view of the stores together:

The only “famous” person I ever got close to meeting was Chubby Checker. He was eating breakfast in some greasy spoon diner in New Jersey. My uncle recognized him, and he heard us talking about him. He then yelled at us across two tables to mind our own business and leave him alone.

My one and only brush with fame, and he’s a jerk.

GRRR I can’t believe you posted that pick of me and Christina…She put her hand on my shoulder about the same time the photo was snapped so hence the crazy look on my face… ~sigh~ I have “special” thots about her IYKWIM!!

Is it bad that I saw the title of this thread and thought it had something to do with people photoshopping themselves into APOD pictures?

I don’t have pictures with famous people, I’ve met very few of them and I’m too shy to ask for things. But one of my grad school profs could fill a house with the pictures of him with people… it’s insane.
