Anyone who is in the Phoenix Metro Area (Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Phoenix, Gilbert, etc. etc.) On Jan. 26-27 is Phoenix Comic Con at the Mesa Convention Center. Guest will include: Will Wheaton (ST:TNG), Lou Ferrigno (The Hulk), Ed McGuinness, David Finch, Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett Eps. V-VI), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), Tim Russ (ST:Voyager), Walter Koenig (B5 and ST:TOS) and many many more.

I plan to be there and if anyone would like to arrange a meetup there I think I would be great. I have heard, but do not have it from a completely reliable source, that they may be playing Razor during the film festival portion of the con. I’m out of town that weekend, but I really think we need to show the rest of GWC that AZ can put together a meetup!

Something like that. Last time i thew it out there, i forgot that i would probability have to organize it… I don’t DO that kind of THING. I just show up :slight_smile:

The dates for the Phoenix Comicon are Jan. 23-25, 2009. I’m skipping the ladies’ bible study weekend next year and plan to attend in costume (probably as Zoe, not slave Leia) so I hope others can travel to this great con.

Rats for my trip to Mexico! I would have loved to go, but am already scheduled (what is wrong with my life that I am scheduled this far in advance??)

DAZ, I would love to be a fly on the wall when you tell your group that you’ll be skipping Bible study.

Actually, I just found out the bible weekend has been rescheduled for June, so I can be kick ass Zoe one weekend and someone Shepard Book would be proud of the next. That’s right, no special hell for me (at least for now.)

I’m planning a vacation with my cousin from Minnesota around the con, going to hit most of the four corner state attractions, well at least where it is not too cold. :wink:
