Philip Glenister has decided that after 2 seasons of ‘Life on Mars’ that 3’s the charm for it’s sequel, ‘Ashes to Ashes.’ The second series starts on the BBC in April and after that he’s decided to leave the series after the 3rd.

R.I.P. Gene Hoont.

Well, it’s always a bummer to lose any Gene-Genie time, but I always expected Ashes to Ashes to finish after two years just like the original Life on Mars (BBC). (I was under the impression that most British shows end after one or two years?)

I’m so glad A2A is coming back soon! It seems like forever since we watched the first season. I want to know the significance of that song and what the creepy dude was doing in both time periods…

Just because Gene won’t be there doesn’t mean an end to the franchise. Another series could involve a character jumping back into something other than a police unit.
