Episode Summary from aceshowbiz.com:
Reese boards a last minute plane to Istanbul, hoping to leave New York and his recent past behind him, but the Machine has other ideas. Reese quickly realizes the Machine has intentionally placed him on this flight to ensure that Owen, a critical witness in a major international drug trafficking case, arrives safely at his destination. Stealing a WiFi-enabled cell phone to contact Finch, the pair discover that Owen is a person of interest who blurs the line between ‘relevant’ and ‘irrelevant’ - but everyone seems to want him dead. With some help from a friendly flight attendant, Reese manages to help Owen escape two cartel hit men and a burly ISA agent onboard before breaking into the cockpit and subduing the final assassin, with Finch taking control of the plane remotely to land it safely. The ordeal helps Reese realize that despite his issues with the Machine’ way of doing things, there is no one better than him at this particular job.
