I LOVE when creators love the show they’re working on. BSG is a great example of that, with all its callbacks to TOS, and Dr. Who is an even better example (and getting better all the time.) It’s one of the problems I had with Enterprise (which actually didn’t do too badly, once the timeline crap could be ignored.) Hopefully Trek XI will follow suit.
say, how does one chart ALL the plot arcs of a show that’s been around for 40 years? That must be a peach

Personally, I use this book. One of it’s writers also has written for (and won awards for) the current series.
