Most people I know that play paintball I would not consider them geeks and they might not consider it a geek sport. There is however a group of us over here in the UK that play airsoft. The guns are more real, we use pyrotechnics and the organisers of the events always put together scenarios. Now depending on the organiser the scenario could be coldwar, Vietnam (with extraction from helicopters), to a more scifi type of situation. I was just at a comic con where they had a whole group of people that ran stargate scenarios and everyone had a p90! It’s good fun and since there has to be a honor system in place in most games you get good people most of the time. They even have zombie airsoft.
