“Now you listen to me, I’m an advertising man, not a red herring. I’ve got a job, a secretary, a mother, two ex-wives and several bartenders that depend upon me, and I don’t intend to disappoint them all by getting myself “slightly” killed.”

After you are done Fraking Hitchcock,… that didn’t sound right.

After you are done using Hitchcock for Frak Parties I would suggest doing “High Anxiety”, after viewing all of his movies it should be a snap spotting all of the homages to Hitchcock Mel put in there. And it would lighten things up before your next delving into deep material.

The homage to ‘The Birds’ is still one of my favorites, well… and ‘Psycho’ too.

One of his best.
The crop duster scene is a good example of why Hitchcock was the master.
I’ll try to make the frak.

Interesting choice. I read that Hitchcock came up with a bunch of scenes (cropduster, Mt. Rushmore, etc.) and had the writer stitch a story together around them. Apparently, Michael Bay did essentially the same thing for TF2.

Their relative success I leave as an exercise for the reader.

Yes, but he employed his winning formula of the ordinary man caught up in extraordinary circumstances, which Cary Grant played brilliantly. The above quote is one of many great lines.

Ask and receive.

Where my frakkers at? :stuck_out_tongue:

Woot! Woot!

I love this film. Bernard is teh awesome!!

You should be seeing Alfred right about now!! Doh! Missed the bus.

Eva Marie Saint is Superman’s Mom!

And James Mason is the Metatron!

Cary Grant! What guy doesn’t want to be Cary Grant?

Just got there. I’m a few seconds behind you, I think.

Nicely done!

And James Mason is the Metatron!

Metatron!?!

Captain Nemo, for sure.

The Voice of God, according to medieval Christian mythology. Alan Rickman played him in Dogma.

When Eddie Izzard does an impression of James Mason, he says he sounds like God. Or vice versa. They’re basically interchangeable in his act.

Yeah. I knew Rickman played that but I obviously haven’t seen the Izzard bit.

Look Martin Landau!

Bela Lugosi!

Do you have a thread some place that tells what movie you are watching? I could have dug up my copy of the movie if I knew you were watching it.

As you can see a simple tale of mistaken identity.

Come on, Cary. Take the Scotch!!

Leave it to Cary Grant to be an excellent drunk driver.
