I just finished rewatching “No Exit” for the 4th time and each time I pick up somethig new. Could rank as the most fascinating of the series so far.
This is a summary of questions I have on this round:
- Who is Ellen’s Father? She created “John” in his image, used her Father’s name for Cavil’s true name… Ellen is a Final Five yet someone or something created her. Was she and the rest of the Final Five born through simple procreation of members of Earth which came from the 13th tribe of Kobol or descendants thereof??
2)It is interesting how Anders uses the term “Organic Memory Transfer” for resurrection technology as invented on Kobol and brought over to earth by the 13th tribe. As that’s what al this appears on the surface there could be something at play here as certain factors still seem to be pulling the strings, whether or not this has something to do with Daniel. The head projections may also be a form of this “organic memory transfer” on a different more advanced level.
3)As soon as Anders mentions the number 8, the glowing lights go off…A signal again?? triggering the seizure.
- Ellen seems to be insisting to Cavil that the one true god orchestrated the plan. Cavil calls the revealing of the faces of the final five at the temple of Hope a carnival trick. (Religion vs science) Is Ellen really being truthful here? (probably) or maybe she may know or not even know that this was part of the head projection process (for lack of a better way to state the concept)
Though the intuitive leap that Anders stated Ellen made to make the final step in the reinvention of resurrection technology seemed to include that monotheistic belief carried on by the Centurions.
5)The meaning of “The Gazelle” the Ellen "needs to be explored. SInce Gazelles are associated with speed…Is the colony on Earth or Elsewhere?
- The warning signs the Final Five saw on Earth: Tory saw a Man, Anders a Woman…are these further Head projection manifestations that no-one else could see…Chief thought he had a chip in his head like Baltar…
Its clear that these manifestations have also been around as long as everyone else has…So why would they be seen by Baltar? What makes him special? Could it be that if a human has intercourse with a Cylon he is also able to receive that transfer of Head Projection (We could simply attribute Roslin’s visions to Kamala)
To me; the manifestations or head projections (Operating from the Temple of Five Opera House Manifestation) are the key to it all. “A gift from the angels” a distant homage to the Beings of Light from the TOS 1978 in a more sophisticated reimagined incarnation.
7)Kara is disappointed that she does not yet have closure to who she is as not being the 7th, the Daniel though if she recognized the Name as being her Father then she did no react that way…She seemed to react in more of a sense that it wasn’t her…In all my posts I do say that her ovaries from the Farm play a part of what she is yet could she have been intercepted by the Colony which may use the Maelstrom as a “ship of Light” from the TOS which serves a a portal to their colony in order to reincarnate her and send her back… I think this will parallel the War of the Gods episodes in some re-imagined degree.All possibly put into play by Daniel before his death? Maybe…When does her piano playing Father finally play a roll…the artist??? Daniel???
- Six’s baby my not make it and this will lead her to the Hera-Opera House thread. Although is it possible the baby we see in the cradle in the Opera house visions are her own and not Hera? Although I do think we see Hera running through the Opera House Hallways.
(9) What was “Galen’s Confession”?
The One Daniel must have survived long enough to orchestrate something so all of the copies died but he lived to a point to operate before he was murdered.

IF Cavil can" learn to accept himself for what he is" then this may close the series bringing hope to all. He is fighting it now but this may resolve itself by the end.

Ishay says Ander’s his mind is elsewhere…has it gone through an organic memory transfer?

Boomer’s escape may wittingly or unwiittingly serve as a tracking device to lead Cavil to the fleet…

Adama is literally going down with his ship he drinks etc as the ship decays and will go likely out with the ship…
