I have heard early spring 2010. That would be out of the UK. The BBC seems to be awakening to the fact that if they don’t offer legal alternatives to non UKers, fans will torrent. The latest specials were broadcast internationally shortly after the UK debut. Let’s hope they keep it up.

I can’t wait for new Who. I’m really looking forward to both Moffat and Smith. As for the Doctor, I think the bow tie and suspenders really help distract from the disparity between Smith’s and the Doctor’s ages. (If that makes sense.)

I had heard rumours that Smith rejected the first few costumes. Not sure if this is true, as one would think such a young actor would tend to just accept what was on offer. Perhaps it was more of a collaberation thing. Wonder what the other ideas were.
I wasn’t overly excited by the new look at first, but I am sure it will grow on me. Obviously going for the old soul in a young body thing. Bottom line: ANYTHING is better than Colin Baker’s look!
Agreed, they really seemed to make an effort to age him slightly, which does make the young face slightly more believable. But, all this is speculative,
we shall see soon if he has the chops to be Dr Who
