Since the nacelles seem to be the biggest change on the new Enterprise, I wondered what people thought of them.
What was Scottie’s line from the movie? Something like “I’d like to get my hands on those ample nacelles?” 
It looks like an old Caddy. There should be fins on the back.
Is there a different perspective I can see?
In that pic they look huuuuge.
It’s good stuff. The whole movie presents the old stuff in a new, modern setting. I like it all, especially the ship’s exterior, the nacelles and the new “clean” look of the bridge.
So I guess the designer of the original nacelles must have died in the same attack as Kirk’s father. The new guy in the alternate time-line must like curvier designs…
Don’t love 'em, don’t hate 'em. And they kind of do have fins, that kind of echo those things that stuck out of the tops of the original Enterprise.

I loved the look of the new Enterprise, at least the exterior. My favorite shot of the movie was near the end when you see the Enterprise rise up out of the clouds…
I remember reading somewhere that the starships were supposed to look like swans. I think the nacells on this enterprise look more like swan wings then the old one.
