New 6: Real or Head?

My guess is that she was real and was a Baltar groupie. Since each model has shared memories, she ‘knows’ Baltar. Add to that the access the Base Ship has had to Baltar’s wireless preaching about their own god and you may have some instant disciples.

The fact that this Six was a red-head alone should telegraph to you just how crazy she may be.

The whole idea of Head Six is that she’s a manifestation of the woman he knew on Caprica - not even Caprica Six, but his own imagination of who she is.

I don’t see why they would bother with changing her whole look. I think it was just some random Six who wanted to comfort him.

What can you do, Baltar is a player.

How do we know what her name is? Did someone nab a copy of the script, or was it in the closed-captioning?

I found some interesting meanings of Lida.

The first one comes from the city of Lida in which it means “to fuse or cast metal”. (Interesting since she is a machine).

The second one is “loved by the people”. (Maybe she will be the new main 6 replacing Natalie)

A third meaning is joy & happiness and comes from the name of the Queen of Sparta, mother of Helen of Troy. (Also fits with my replacement of Natalie idea)

Why is it that so many of the 6s seem so willing to get in the sack with Baltar?

The sixes programming to be seductive combined with Baltars playboy mentality just makes for a hot steamy basestar. No 6 can resist the urge.

I think they all know he’s a stud!

They all have some sort of limited telepathy within the models ( hence being able to vote telepathicly) Maybe they all know he was in the three way with 3 and 6 and figure he is the man who knows the location of the Cylon G-spot!

I read the writer (Angeli) call her that in the Chicago Tribune blog post for the episode, and I believe others have seen it elsewhere at all. But there was nothing in the episode itself that called her “Lida.” If I remember correctly, there was nothing in the show itself that called Natalie Natalie, either.

I think you’re right on. I concur.

That irked me, actually. Why name her if you don’t use the name? It’s nice for us, as fans, to be able to distinguish Natalie that way as we discuss the show, but Civil War Six would work just as well.

Baltart’s a 9.

That explains 6, IYKWIM

Booo hissss
