Neil deGrasse Tyson's answer to the question "Do you believe in UFOs?"

Seconded. I Neil is my new hero. Brilliant. Articulate. Funny. Clever.

Found this little video where Neil talks about his connection to Saint Sagan. Very cool.

He was recently interviewed by Sam Ogden of Skepchick.org, and he told that very story. So inspiring!

By the way, as long as we’re making this thread the “Neil deGrasse Tyson Fan Club” thread, here is that very interview with Skepchick.org, in 7 parts.

Actually, Dr deGrasse Tyson has been on Colbert 4 times now. He’s been on The Daily Show several times as well. He’s great every time.

Also, if you click on the person who posted the video in the original post of this thread you can get the link for the entire interview from that appearance. It’s quite entertaining.

Something else the crüe could ask him about. How science fiction inspires/inhibits funded research. As well as his ideas on how we could do better at lobbying for more funding for NASA.

Another angle, he stated in the appearance listed that he was an amateur astrologer. Chuck is familiar with at least some of that. I’m sure it would not be hard to persuade him tot alk about that as well.

Ask him about the recent discovery of water on the moon & earlier on Mars.

Hell, there’s so many places to go with him it’s hard to narrow it down!

He’s also got several books, promote his latest one for him.

He was also on episode of Stargate: Atlantis, along with Bill Nye the Science Guy.

(and yes, that is Jewel Staite, AKA Kaylee from Firefly)

I loved that episode. Rodney was such a dick to Bill Nye, it was hysterical. I wonder how many (if any at all) other prominent scientists were in that episode. Kaylee (lol I mean Jewel Staite) had a great line about saving the planet in order to save the people, instead of saving it at the expense of people. I thought that was an important point for all those narrow minded environmentalists out there.

found a great video i just love this guy…

Only Neil deGrasse Tyson could make me wish I had a blow hole.

Must. Resist. Joke…
