OK, here’s the skinny:
I’ve been a stay at home mom for almost 9 years. I had a job for 4+ years before that. So, no update to my resume in about 12 years AT LEAST. I can’t even find a hard copy of my resume. I’m starting from scratch.
I wasn’t looking for a job, but saw a job listing for a VERY part-time job for my local newspaper that would bring in a tiny bit of extra income for us. I’m more than qualified for it. I could probably do it from home, if they allow. To find out, though, I need to submit a cover letter and resume.
Here’s where you guys come in. I have no idea where to start with a resume today. I’m sure things have changed vastly in what is “in vogue” as far as creating a resume.
I’m looking for advice to help me with creating a basic resume for a part-time admin/writing position for my local newspaper. See the obituary coordinator position listing below.
