Need BSG Font for Flight Checklist Placard

Please help me, Hive Mind. I’m looking to download the font for the checklist that is tacked to the viper (or is it a raptor) that Adama pilots out of the ship for the last time at the end of the series.

This is NOT the Basestar font that is commonly used throughout BSG. It is a different font, and atlhough I’ve read that it’s one of the Futura fonts, it doesn’t look quite like any of them. I"m trying to re-create those placards:

I was browsing dafont’s techno/sci-fi fonts here. so far the closest I’ve found is RNS Serial Font, but some of the letters, like M and W and V, aren’t quite right.

there’s also this site that I was looking at.

I’m starting to feel a bit cross-eyed, so I’ll just leave you these links.

ETA: this one has closer Ms and Ws, but the Rs and Ks aren’t right.

Closest I found is “PF Beau Sans Pro” which may do in a pinch.

Ah, fonts. My area of semi-expertise!

So, good news and bad news. The good news is that I recognize the characters. The bad news? They don’t belong to a font as far as I know. My guess is that that stuff was produced by combining several fonts to get the look they wanted (and to make sure it wasn’t too easily recognizable).

It’s based primarily on the Handel Gothic family of fonts. Individual chars from other fonts are thrown in the mix in certain cases, such as the “K” that looks to me like it comes from Bayer Sans. The “H” appears to just be a reuse of the “K”, too.

So, if you’re going to be using this for print media or an image, you can just get the fonts & mix & match. If you need everything in one package (like if you want to use them on a website), you’ll have to combine the two into a font for yourself. 'course, that’s probably not 100% legal depending on the T&C of the fonts…still an option, though.

Thanks, all! I purchased Handel Gothic and I think I can find something that will work for the K and H! I’ll post the final product on the forum! Thanks for your help! I love me some typographer freaks! By the way, have you guys seen the film Helvetica?
