NASA is holding a contest for wake-up songs for the Shuttle. Currently, the original theme to Star Trek is just edging out a Rush song.
Not anymore…Rush is ahead.
And this morning the Star Trek theme is way ahead. 
Anywho…top 2 songs will be used during STS-133 the last space shuttle flight.
Okay, as of now Star Trek is ahead by roughly 8,000 votes. Let’s keep it that way. Please vote!
As Solai has stated, there’s no Firefly music on the list, (Bad NASA) so perhaps the Star Trek theme is our next best hope.

i am sorry, but in honor of Cochran… I had to go with Magic Carpet Ride! My nerd friends hated that in First Contact , but I loved it. That is one of the greatest songs of the 60’s and totaly fits with Trek, and NASA!
Rush is currently up by about 2,000!
The Trek theme deserves it on the merits besides the nerd value. It is a good thing to hear first thing in the morning–what a sense of possibility would awaken in you as you woke to face your day!
I can’t believe Enter Sandman is at #7. That song is great but not really appropriate for waking up to lol.
