We were all sitting around the dinner table at my dad’s house the other day and he proclaimed that his children who were all grown with houses of their own needed to get off their asses and unload their childhoods from his attic.
So a few weekends ago I trudged up there with my Mom and a flashlight to go fetch it. There, of course, was more than one carload of crap up there that belonged to me but I did manage to get it all back to my place. I still haven’t gone through a 1/3 of it yet but did run across one of the 4 boxes with my old Transformers in them. (Ok, mostly Transformers and one Super Gobot)
What you see here is one small box of them after clean up and me having chased down all the weapons and whatnot I could find lined out on the livingroom table.
Ahhhhh, childhood re-born. I’m not as fast as I used to be at actually tranforming them however I did manage to get each one through it’s paces more than once… which I felt renewed my “kid” card. Shannon was laughing pretty hard the first time I tried to assemble Devestator – it took close to 10 minutes to remember how.
I have close to a dozen boxes of stuff to comb through and I honestly I can’t remember what’s in half of them so I’ll most likely be quite amused for a while. Then again, it never really took much in the first place.
Rock on!
