My Reclaimed Childhood

We were all sitting around the dinner table at my dad’s house the other day and he proclaimed that his children who were all grown with houses of their own needed to get off their asses and unload their childhoods from his attic.

So a few weekends ago I trudged up there with my Mom and a flashlight to go fetch it. There, of course, was more than one carload of crap up there that belonged to me but I did manage to get it all back to my place. I still haven’t gone through a 1/3 of it yet but did run across one of the 4 boxes with my old Transformers in them. (Ok, mostly Transformers and one Super Gobot)

What you see here is one small box of them after clean up and me having chased down all the weapons and whatnot I could find lined out on the livingroom table.

Ahhhhh, childhood re-born. I’m not as fast as I used to be at actually tranforming them however I did manage to get each one through it’s paces more than once… which I felt renewed my “kid” card. Shannon was laughing pretty hard the first time I tried to assemble Devestator – it took close to 10 minutes to remember how.

I have close to a dozen boxes of stuff to comb through and I honestly I can’t remember what’s in half of them so I’ll most likely be quite amused for a while. Then again, it never really took much in the first place.

Rock on!

~Sean

That is awesome!!

Now be honest, Did you play with any of them?

Well (ahem)… yes there may have been a small skirmish that broke out between Slag and the Contructicons but it’s their nature after all… and Twin Twist put an end to the situation.

But that was all. I swear.

Hahaha!

I was recent going through some of my old toys as we took them to Good Will and I made a comment to my girlfriend about how I couldn’t believe I used to play with these things but as she pointed out that was only some years ago. :o

Never to old to be a kid I say. I can’t wait to hear you go at it in the next arc.

I’m telling ya g, it all comes back to ya when you start hanging around your old toys. I began to remember how vivid my imagination was before I discovered girls didn’t have cooties and well - got sidtracked for 20 years.

I guess I’m in that sidetracked phase huh?

Share some more pic’s if you can please.

Actaully I intend to do just that when I start going through them just cuz I can’t remember what some of this stuff is called

Not the Transformers obviously but other toys.

OMG. That is AWESOME Sean! I can’t wait to see what else you’ve got there.

I would hope you of all people know what are Transformers.

Me either. I know I’ve got some pretty sweet stuff running around in those boxes including my old Starcom toys. I loved those things. They were big for about half a second in the 80’s but I always dug them. I’ll see if I can’t drag some of it out, clean them up and post a pic or two.

Ahhhh, but Sean, let’s be honest. We girls DO have cooties…you just discovered you like the cooties we have.

This is a very good point Aset and I bow to your wisdom.

Bwhahaa!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Guilty as charged.

AHA!! Spotted the Super Gobot!

Right in the middle, that’s Psycho, right?

Indeed it is sir! Good eye indeed!

gawdsdammit man! I was forced to throw out my old MASK and Starcom toys because there was no place in our new home that my wife would let me keep’em :o:(

Da horror… the pain…
