Muppet Christmas, 12/17, 8/7c

I just realized this starts in 5 minutes on NBC. Anyone else watching it?

Way too many people on the writing credits. I hope it doesn’t end up all pieced together.

Got it on. No sound yet.

Ah, there we go.

'Sokay. So far you’ve only missed a couple of lame musical numbers. As usual, Pepe and Rizzo are carrying most of the comedy loud. Lords, I love those two.

Who’s the hispanic-ish buggy thing? I don’t remember him.

That, my friend, is Pepe the King Prawn. He was introduced back during the short-lived “Muppets Tonight” show, and was one of the only things worthwhile about it. He appeared in some Long John Silver commercials and has a thing about being called a shrimp.

Ah! That explains why he looks familiar at the same time. I really like his puppet design.

BTW, who was the ticket girl? I know I’m supposed to recognize her, but…

My boys!

(baltar)

Ticket girl’s Uma Thurman.

Apparently, Muppets are immortal. I guess when you’re made of felt, dropping off a plane doesn’t hurt that much.

summabitch! I just told the GF that it wasn’t Uma. That sweater threw me.

Speaking of felt…

OK, the Turkey with the turkey is a bit… disturbing.

Go Beaker!

Oh, didn’t see that coming. But it makes sense, in retrospect…

Well, that was okay I guess. It’s no Muppet Christmas Carol. Thanks for watching with my, Pike.

BTW, Swedish Chef assured his turkey friend that it was a tofu turkey. Or tofurkey. Or whatever. Maybe it’s a felturkey.

Felturkey would be even more disturbing, now that I think about it.

Agreed. Decent, but not the MCC.

Glad to finally be on track with a frak party.

Yeah, I’m usually working when they go down. Plus, the computer and the TV are in different rooms, so it’s kind of a tricky operation.

I enjoyed it. Had some great moments and they never strayed too far from the path.

“Blackberry, Blueberry, Hallie Berry”

Priceless.

Okay yeah, that one was pretty funny. Also, the “Nuts?” moment. Classic Muppet humor. Both, I might point out, brought to you by Pepe.

Pepe’s finest hour is in Muppets from Space, which is possibly the best Muppets film ever.

I am having an MCC-watching party with non-sci-fi-people tomorrow (I can’t believe I am friends with those weirdos) and I am SOOO excited.

I wish I had a copy of MCC. I have the Patrick Stewart one from TNT, and it’s surprisingly good. Hope your party goes well, I mean, as well as it can without sci-fi people there, you know.
