Mst3k

All of them, in AVI format. I’m not sure what to make of this, but there it is.

Holy grail Batman!!!

Dude thank you for the heads up. A lot easier than how I’ve been occasionally catching up with the old show.

Did anyone see the 20 year reunion panel from Comic Con. It was hosted by Patton Oswald and included everyone on MST3K. Joel, Mike, all the mads, and both Crows etc.

I’ve been downloading copies from elsewhere. I’m not sure if the show was ever shown here, if it was I missed it completly. It’s a good show, but I find it a little difficult to watch. I’ve been known to knock out entire seasons of certain shows. I suffer heavily from one more episode syndrome alot. But I’ve never had that with MST3K. I can just about get through one ‘movie’. Maybe it’s because they are quite long. Although I am still on season 1, which I am led to understand was quite weak compared to some of the later seasons.

Man the dl time is kind lame on that site. I tried to dl Hobgoblins last night and found it was easier and faster to go with other means method. Thanks the effort though Pike.

Well yeah Season 1 is slow but there are a few good early episodes. Really with MST3K you don’t have to follow season order. The meat is the movies they make fun of. You can just pick up random episodes. There isn’t really a linear plot or anything. You might miss some the inside jokes but there are only a few. Here’s a good list of episodes to nab.

Also try to get the Summer movie and Oscar specials. There is also a DVD floating out there that has all the Shorts on one DVD.

One thing about season 1 that I have enjoyed is some of the Commando Cody shorts. There was a great bit that had me in stiches: There was a team about to board a space ship and among them was a woman. One of them said they were uncomfortable having a woman in such a dangerous situation. The woman came back with (quoting from memory, may be imprecise) ‘Now, you’ll be glad to have someone along to cook your meals’, totally seriously.

Also in that same short there was a bit about the evil guy building a “laser” on the moon. I couldn’t stop thinking about Dr. Evil going ‘I’ve turned the moon into what I like to call a “Death Star”’

Anyone listen to Mike Nelson’s Rifftrax. I’m enjoying the witty commentry on movies that I’ve actually seen, and in some cases enjoyed.

I would add the following to the great list:
Space Mutiny
Danger Death Ray
San Fransisco International
Prince of Space
Invasion of the Neptune Men
The Horror of Party Beach

As for watching them by seasons, the first 7 seasons can be watched in any order, but the last 3 season on Sci Fi channel had the cast segments in a specific story order, so that might be a reason to watch them in order.

FYI you can find a bunch of full episodes on google Video here.
