I found out recently that MS is not going to make MS Money Plus anymore (which sucks cause I just bought it a year ago )… anybody have any suggestions for a similiar replacement software I can use? Heck, even if it’s not so similar… any suggestions would be welcome.
That would be Quicken. I’ve used it (and QuickBooks) for years with no issues. One drawback: There’s not an OS X version of it that’s worth a damn, but Parallels solves that problem.
I haven’t yet tried them, but have been intrigued by online money management tools such as www.mint.com.
Here’s a review of different products from Slate.com from a couple of years ago.
I do use Quicken on my old PC at home, but am looking for an alternative as I’m switching back to the Mac world…
I knew there was a reason I hung around here… thanks! I didn’t consider Quicken, mostly cause I thought it was geared towards businesses, whereas I’m using it for personal finances.
Yeah, Quicken is the home version with QuickBooks targeted at businesses. There are “business” version of Quicken which include invoicing and A/R, but you don’t have to pay for those (or look at them) if you don’t need 'em.
