Communication is cut off from the lander.

They’re in a holodeck.
Very cool holograms.

Humanity’s ancestor.
They seeded earth. They left. One stayed behind.
And now, an invitation.
Only Jim understands it.
A countdown starts.
They hear Phil telling them to get back right away, the storm is coming.
They turn to leave, but Jim decides to stay and accept the invitation to follow the ancestors “home”.
Life reaches out for life
Terri gives Jim Woody’s rocketship pendant.
Terri and Luke scamble to give to the lander before it launches.
Jim stands on one the circles of light, and is engulf in a capsule and taken up to a ship.
The capsule fills with a liquid that is liquid oxygen.
Phil: Where’s Jim?
Terri: He caught another ride.
Jim breathes in the liquid and has images of past moments in his life.
The Face disintegrates and the ship carrying Jim heads for…
Luke:
Have a great ride Jim.
The film ends with a “The End”
Love that.
Don’t know why I like this film so much, but I just do.
Only thing I don’t like is most of the music.
