Missing Number 7 (SPOILERS for No Exit)

I suppose, but it would be weird to have a new major character walk onto Galactica this late in the game… from what Ellen said, Daniel’s definitely dead, not boxed, and so no hope of resurrection… I think we’ll see flashbacks of Daniel, but not actually coming back.

What I took from the conversation – Cavil destroyed the genetic material to make a new Daniel, along with destroying the amniotic fluid to create them. But there could have been some that were still alive at the time.

Where is the ‘colony’ that John spoke of? Could that be where Starbuck was rejuved? I’m betting that Ellen left a little ‘insurance policy’ behind to protect herself and the other four from their progeny. Maybe there is another resurrection facility or a hidden back door or kill switch trigger in the clones’ programming or DNA. Daniel may have had a back-up that Cavil didn’t know about and he has been operating in the shadows. Could explain a lot.

When I heard that i was thinking the same thing. A lil insurance against their creation. After seeing what John was becoming it would make sense. Operating in the shadow not soo sure.

I also think that is an interesting issue that will have to be dealt with, but I find enthusiasm for “jealous cat fight(s)” annoying. Ellen and Cap-6 are women, not cats or girls. Infantilizing them, comparing them to animals, and turning female rage into a vehicle for male entertainment is not cool. Of course, when BSG has featured a full-on fight between two women, it was an awesome ass-kicking crazy knock-down drag out between two evenly matched and deadly opponents (Starbuck and Six on Caprica). I seriously doubt that BSG would stoop so low as to go for the “girl-fight” moment. I will be waiting eagerly to see how Ellen deals with Tigh’s new partner, the baby, and whether Tigh immediately returns to her or not.

Where Starbuck went after she died on Earth? That would be REALLY interesting. Great idea!

Ha ha - this made me laugh out loud.

Wasn’t Kara’s father’s name Daniel too? He was a composer and she listened to his music in her apartment with Helo.

I actually thought that it must be the Cylon home world. Seeing as I’m the only one, I have no idea…

Another possibility, but why would the Cylons have no resurrection capability on their own home world?

Good one. No doubt the FF feared their new creations might revolt against them as did the others. Ellen is clearly the brains behind the FF, she might have another ‘plan’ so that she and Saul and Six can live happily ever after. She also seemed just a bit too stoic about John giving her a lobotomy.

Okay, from what I understand, #7 could be Starbuck’s dad, and he could be the namesake of Daniel Greystone, but Daniel Greystone cannot be #7. The Final Five went to the Colonies to warn the Colonials to be good to their creations but made it there too late, and then the Five created #1-#8 to get the Centurions to declare peace with the Colonials. Daniel Greystone was involved in the creation of the Centurions who went to war with the Colonials before the Final Five got there. Ergo, Daniel Greystone was not a Significant…er, Eight.

We need a new name for the Significant Seven now. The Elite Eight?

This timeline also does little to help us figure out who #7 might be. All we know is it’s a male (unless #7 downloaded into a body that wasn’t the same as his original body–in which case, it could be anybody) who doesn’t pre-date the creation of the Cylon Centurions, which means that it’s nobody who also appears in Caprica. So, the only person that eliminates is Adama, which isn’t saying much.

That’s what I gathered, too. I wonder when the Eight first started mingling with humans. We know Cavil started letting the Five out shortly after the First Cylon War ended, but individual members of the Eight might have gone out to the Colonies even earlier. If so, I could see Cavil destroying the Daniel back-up-bodies like Ellen said and killing all the then-living Daniels he could find but maybe missing one or two.

Ooh, good catch.

Do we know for a fact that Greystone was involved in the creation of the Centurions? In the description of the new series “Caprica”, it says that Greystone was working to resurrect his and Adama’s daughters following their deaths from a religious terrorist attack.

That doesn’t imply the creation of Centurions, IMO. If he wanted to resurrect his daughter, he wouldn’t bring her back as a toaster.

I can’t remember if it was explained elsewhere that Greystone created the Centurions.

RDM said in his podcast for the episode that Daniel would be important to the Caprica story…interesting.

I am wondering about the aging of the final five. We saw Tigh in flashbacks where he looked younger. How does that fit into the facts that we got from this episode? Aside from a few questions like that, I loved this episode, and every single one of 4.5.

I think those are two Danials. Maybe this Danial was created in Denial’s image, but that’s it. I do think Starbuck is Danial’s daughter

Plus that reaction when she said “are you sure his name is Danial?”

It’s been a semi educated guess that his company used the tech he developed re his daughter to then create the Cents. Some thought had been given to things happening the other way around, but info about the pilot indicates no Cents bowing and scaping to the humans during it - for whatever that may be worth.

Then of course there is the much discussed the OGG is Greystone theory and the Cents are his children. No Exit may have thrown a wrench into all that.

Tory says the humans on Kobol the skinjobs–them–the FF.

That’s what Graystone was doing, making skinjobs.

If the show happens on Caprica in the BSG timeline we know, don’t ya think folks would recall him making such?
