I went to MegaCon yesterday and got my picture taken with a few BSG stars. A couple turned out grainier than I expected, but that’s because I was using my new camera and didn’t have all the settings figured out.
It’s great they’re all so nice and willing to take pictures with fans!
That last picture makes me angry. I’m total a Seelix-hater.
Well, I had to pay, but it was worth it.
Selix may have turned bad, but Jennifer was very nice.

Or do you mean they actually charged you for a picture with them??
Both. It added up, but it was a pretty fun experience. I was able to talk to Selix and Kat for a bit, but the lines for Callis and (especially) Tricia were really long, so I was only able to talk to them for a minute or so.

Which one? I went to the con with my National Novel Writing Month one, then bought the SGC one and a BSG one there.
I’ve never been to one of these things, so I’m trying to come to terms with the fact that these well paid actors actually charge you to have a picture taken with them at their table. 
Should I even ask how much? Does Callis charge more than Helfer?

I think most of those charges go towards paying the guys that set up the convention… I’d be surpised if the actors themselves take a cut… if they do, it usually goes to charity.

It was 10 each for Kat and Selix, 20 each for Callis and Helfer.
That’s the difference between secondary and main characters. It’s good to be in the lead.

Yes, the actors get a cut. There are many a sci-fi actor as well as former sports star who makes a decent living from autograph fees.
